A Dollop of Sour Cream

I'm not much into spicy food. I have recently discovered that if a meal is just a tad too spicy for me, I can put sour cream on top and make it not just palatable, but wonderful. This blog is devoted to doing the same for life.

Baby Update

Still no good pictures of my baby bump. Maybe today.

But the pregnancy is getting "harder"

We're under 100 days until baby is due! Under 90 days, even. that's just three months. I guess that puts me solidly into the third trimester. I don't feel "bad" exactly with the baby. But I am noticing that I am dissolving into tears/getting close to dissolving into tears more often. Feeling abandoned at work because they have hired two new people to take over the work and everything I get I need to hand off to one of them and teach them how to do so they will be ready to take over when I leave. But then I start to wondering "why are they paying me anyway if I am not doing anything for them" *wry* I don't like the feeling of being paid to do so little at all.

AND I haven't heard anything back from Austin yet so the future after the move isn't real clear either.

The hardest part is when I get home. We live on the second floor. And every time I come in my door and look up those stairs, I just don't want to take them. If I could, I'd just plop down on the bottom step and stay there -- but that just isn't an option. But if I'm already not wanting to deal with steps, I am worried about where this is going.

I love sitting in our glider. I even fall asleep there (except for when I'm trying to fall asleep) Beginning to wonder if I should have gotten the ottoman, despite the space it takes up. Maybe we'll look for a blow up one or something? I need somewhere to put my feet. Oh yeah and I've been restless at nights, not really wanting to do anything at all other than rest/read/waiting for time to pass. Not even play computer games!

Last night I caught up on 7th Heaven and they mentioned how T-Bone's real name is Theodore and people call him T-bone because "what type of name is Theodore to go through life with" Yikes! What's wrong with Theodore? I love that name. Will our kid hate it?

We're getting rid of things. and I still have more things in mind to get rid of. Hopefully we will get to Goodwill today to give them what we have so far (or should I try selling it? Hrm) certainly we don't want to move anything just to get rid of it on the other end.

I'll give you my ottoman if I ever get to Texas and you do, too. I have one in storage. I'm going to give my rocker to the church.

PS Theodore is awesome. I like the nickname possibilities... Theo, Teddy, Ted... it is a keeper. Don't let people bully you about name choices... That's how I ended up with Morgan! My choices were gone in a vanishing mist. I regret it.

I love it too. "Gift of God" and it sounds so... strong. :) Greek form of the Hebrew name "matthew" The female version of the name is "Dorothy" (see the two parts there?) We've also got missionary friens named Ted Long and then of course there is President Theodore Roosevelt. So we KNOW it sounds good with President in front of it. Doctor Theodore sounds great too :)

Now we just need a replacement name once we've used this one. I'm playing with Zaccheus (which is a form of Zechariah... Which may be a more acceptable name. Hrm "remembered by the Lord" -- the fellow I believe who was promised he would not die until he had seen his Messiah). Or maybe Lazarus -- friend of Jesus "God is my help".

Stairs are very tiring during pregnancy...we have a two story house and I definitely get tired chasing our little ones up and down the stairs all day long...
Will you be going on maternity leave for several weeks before the baby is born? I always plan some "fun" activities to keep me busy and get me through those last few weeks (of course you'll be busy packing)...you could try to sell stuff on e-bay or where ever (Craig's list), I know people who have had a lot of success with doing that...
I think the name Theodore is cute, and I like Teddy as a nickname...have you picked a middle name for him yet?

Yes, get the ottoman! I have three children and still have yet to get one but wish I would get my behind in gear and just get one. Praying for a healthy rest of pregnancy for you!
