A Dollop of Sour Cream

I'm not much into spicy food. I have recently discovered that if a meal is just a tad too spicy for me, I can put sour cream on top and make it not just palatable, but wonderful. This blog is devoted to doing the same for life.

I actually use Windows Live Writer to put my entries together. You can just click on the picture and it inserts it into the entry. Then I can arrange them how I want them. It really does help it load faster that way!

Thanks for your comments! I found time to sit down so I wanted to respond.

I found the books that we didn't already have, on Amazon or Christianbook.com. They were so cheap there, that it wasn't worth it to search for each one individually, used. It was about the same to get them new but with free shipping. I had no issue finding any of them. There are a couple I elected not to get and there are a few for Core 1 that I haven't found yet.

I totally missed the My Father's Dragon sequels as well until recently. We have finished all 3 though and are now moving onto the next one on our list. I need to do an update...but since our Aug 15-23 trip isn't going to be done posting until the end of September, it'll be a while. lol

Right now I have all the books in my "Core K" drawer. With some of the extras in the drawer above it.

My MIL actually got my girls the blue and red outfits. They came from Walmart though. They are really comfortable too, because my girls normally won't wear capris.

The Dolphins are at Siegfried and Roy's Secret Garden which is at the Mirage. Dolphins and big cats, very cool. There was an Aquarium at the Silverton I believe, that we also wanted to go. They have Mermaids...but we didn't make it there. It's first on our list for next time.

We absolutely did use her heat vest. She didn't wear it to the Dolphins because I had the wrong impression of how it was set up and thought there was a lot more shade/indoor area. I also think we were so set in the idea that we got it for the national parks that it didn't really occur to us to use it in the city. We are just so used to adapting! But yes, she used it and you will see it later.

Though if she is wearing a dark shirt and you put it underneath you can't tell as you will see at Goblin Valley (Day 8 posting Oct 1). I put it over her shirt initially then I put it under (for photographic purposes of course.)

The second week of October we finish up the trip pictures and start with regular ones. Including fall ones, a school update and updates on our "additional curriculum" as well. Got some really good pictures of the kids finally.

I would look at Melissa & Doug puzzles. I know they have ones with big pieces that are like 24 pieces. There are some Thomas the Train ones as well. You can go to Amazon and search for puzzles, in the appropriate age range to get an idea of what there is.

We are going to get a couple of Melissa & Doug ones for Christmas...Safari, Underwater and then a Thomas the Train and Cassie Dragon Tales one too. Puzzles are definitely a big one here right now.
